Given the current political changes in Brazil, the lecture invited to consider how mathematics education research is implicated in generating (or not) possibilities of justice, equity, equality and democracy.
The conference gathers 380 researchers from Brazil in the different areas of mathematics education. Paola will also present the joint research that Eva Norén, MND, and Marcio Silva and Vanessa Neto, University of Mato Grosso do Sul, have initiated comparing mathematics curricula and textbooks.
